Blackout Blinds Installed at the NEC, Birmingham

Written by Admin | 31 August 2023

The National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham is known for its 18 enormous halls housing exhibitions, trade shows and events of all kinds. But the complex also includes a number of conference rooms for hire.

One of these rooms on the upper floors had manual blackout blinds which had to be lowered individually. The inconvenience of lowering the blinds meant that the room could not be hired out; but the unusual sloping design of the windows made fitting a replacement even more of a challenge.

We installed a bespoke, specially engineered blackout blind system with side channels bent at exactly the right angle to match the slope of the window. The remote operation means that all the blinds easily can be controlled and lowered simultaneously, ideal for presentations and events.
